IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations for General Cargo Accepting and Processing Personnel 7.2

Short summary

This 4-hour classroom training course focuses on employees involved in the acceptance and handling of general cargo containing dangerous goods for air transport. The course covers essential IATA regulations relating to identification, classification, labelling, packaging and documentation of dangerous goods. Passenger and crew baggage exemptions and emergency procedures are also covered. The training concludes with an Ahlex certificate, valid for 2 years. Available in English, Dutch and French.

All employees who handle Dangerous Goods destined for air shipment.

Objectives

After completing this training, the participant will be able to:

• Identifying and classifying Dangerous Goods
• Recognising and identifying Dangerous Goods labels and package specification markings
• Becoming familiar with the Shipper’s Declaration and other relevant documentation
• Knowing the allowances for Dangerous Goods stored in baggage belonging to passengers and crew
• Being aware of the Dangerous Goods emergency response procedures
